Rules
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These rules keep the game fair and friendly. Everyone who plays agrees to them, along with the Terms of Use.
1. Names
Player Names, character names and guild names must not be:
- offensive, insulting, racist, sexual or about drugs or violence against real people
- made to look like staff (for example containing "GM", "CM", "God", "Admin" or "Tutor") or to impersonate another player or a real person
- advertising, or unreadable nonsense
2. Behaviour
- No insults, harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
- No spamming chat channels or private messages.
- No advertising other games, servers or websites.
- Do not pretend to be a member of staff.
- Do not share anyone's personal information, or try to get passwords or account details from other players.
3. Cheating
- No bots, macros, modified clients or third-party programs that play for you or give you an unfair advantage. The avatar automation built into the official client is allowed.
- Do not use bugs to your advantage. Report them to us instead.
- Do not try to hack, attack or overload the game server, the website or other players.
4. Accounts, trading and payments
- Do not sell, buy or trade accounts, characters, items, gold or Avataris Coins for real money or anything outside the game.
- Do not share your account, or use or try to take over someone else's.
- One account per person, unless we have agreed otherwise.
- Do not pay with a card or account you are not allowed to use, or dispute a payment you made to get something for free.
5. Staff
- Follow reasonable instructions from staff.
- Do not make false reports or misuse the report system.
What happens if you break a rule
Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may warn you, change a name, remove items or gold gained by breaking the rules, suspend your account for a time, or close it permanently. Serious offences such as cheating, hacking or payment fraud can lead to a permanent ban straight away.
If you think we got it wrong, email support@playavataris.com with your Player Name and what happened, and we will look at it again.
To report a player or a bug, email us with as much detail as you can (names, times, screenshots).
These rules may change. The current version is always on this page, with its date at the top.
